"K-POP" has been a force to be reckon with; all around the world people are gravitating toward Korean music, dramas, actors, and actresses. Korea's top musicians, such as PSY, G-Dragon, and 2ne1 have all been recognized by the likes of Will.i.am, ASAP Rocky, Pixie Lott, and Justin Bieber. If you don't mind the language barrier, and you're looking for fresh creative infusions of hip-hop, R&B, and pop make sure to check out any of the artists that I have listed above. You never know, might be pleasantly surprised ;)
